Limited Release Irish Whiskey

In January 1942, under the cover of darkness, a small raiding force entered the neutral harbour of Santa Isabel and removed three Axis vessels without firing a shot.

The operation became known as POSTMASTER.

Created in the 80th anniversary year of the Special Operations Executive's disbandment, this limited Black Alpha release commemorates Operation POSTMASTER, one of the clearest examples of the SOE method: precise, disciplined and quietly effective.

At its heart is a 10-year-old Irish Single Malt, matured in a single cask, triple distilled and bottled at cask strength at 56.5% ABV.

Limited to just 220 bottles, each release is presented in a bespoke solid ash presentation case with a concealed drawer containing a collection of commemorative items created to tell the story behind the whiskey.

The presentation includes:

• A bottle of Black Alpha Operation POSTMASTER Single Cask Irish Whiskey
• An illustrated history of Operation POSTMASTER and the Special Operations Executive
• A numbered certificate of authenticity
• A commemorative challenge coin
• A map of Fernando Pó, the island at the centre of Operation POSTMASTER, reproduced on silk from an original Second World War parachute
